W163 Brakes - How long after warning light starts coming on?

ML270 ... my brake warning light has started coming on if i brake hard (such as foot pressed hard on brakes at lights) just wondering if anyone has left this a while ..should i wait until they are always on when i brake or whatever?

Just wondering because i've 3000 miles to next service and don't know if it will wait that long ...

pad wear will be about 80% when light first comes on, ml,s are heavy on there pads so you might make it!!!

I wouldn't risk it. 500 miles maybe but not 3000. You may need them anyway but if not, it could cost you a set of discs.

Noted! Anyone done pads recently on one of these? Ballpark figure?

Not a bad diy if you are feeling up to it.

The pads themselfs are best part of £100 from mb, so might pay to shop around.
