Hello All,

I'm having a look at my daughter's 2006 ML280, the alarm was going off last night outside her house no doubt annoying the neighbours. This is a intermittent problem that has been getting worse.

I was going to start by taking the alarm sounder off but I'll be bu*****d if I can find it?

The WIS says it is on the bulkhead under the bonnet but I can't see it, I've also taken both front wheels off and looked beneath the wheel arch liners. I can't make the sounder come on (so I can find it) by locking the car with the fob and opening a door with the windows down and using an internal door release. The hazards start flashing like the alarm is going but no sounder.

I've put my Laptop on it and it comes up with the following error codes:

9001 - supply voltage too low, intermittent
9002 - voltage supply too high, intermittent
903D - Terminal 30 missing, intermittent
903E - Terminal 30B connection faulty, signal or value below threshold, intermittent

Any advice gratefully received.

Nigel

You can access it by removing the heater intake from the corner. You’ll need to take both bits out, the outer with two clips and the backing piece which is some 10mm nuts. You’ll need to take out the small detachable bit of bulkhead, usually for doing the nearside airfilter. That’s 3 10mm bolts. Sounder is right in the bottom there

All went to plan, I used a 1/4" drive 10mm long reach socket and long extension bar.

2 x 10mm nuts securing alarm sounder. On my car there was a wiring loom curled over the top of 1 of the nuts which took some persuasion to move to allow access to second securing nut.

I've got my C32 back and my daughter is away with a quiet ML.

Thanks
