W164 ML water in trunk

Hello!

Have a problem with water leak.. already searched in google solutions, but so far nothing.

I have water in my trunk on right and left side (middle is dry), but not at the bottom of trunk, but only straight under quarter glass. Most of the time even isolation is also dry, but everything betweek quarter glass and isolation (that yellow foam and white thing) is in water.

Already changed taillight seals.

Any ideas?

In my time of ownership I find mb have no idea how to make watertight cars. But they do have plenty of experience in placing electrics in the best places to take, advantage of any water entry.

They can leak from poorly sealed quarterlight glass. There is a white plastic location peg that is often the source. I’m afraid it’s a case of cutting out the window to reseal it. A job for an autoglazing operative.
