Hi. My ML420 is new ish to me and has had the water ingress issue at the rear right hand side. The tailgate pump motor still runs fine but the wires have corroded off the EV1 type plug on the solenoid coil. The pins on the coil itself have also corroded away. I've pared back the plastic on the coil and can access the remains of the pins and was going to solder cables directly to the coil BUT the coil reads around 2 ohms which will draw a fair amount of current. To me, having worked with hydraulics for many years, this seems too low for a reasonably small coil and I don't want to damage any control systems.
Does anyone know if the solenoid is available as a separate part, or if the reading I'm getting is in fact correct?
Picture for reference. Solenoid at the top. Obviously not my pump!
