W166 Noise from back of car

Good day recently got my ML350 Bluetec W166 (2013) noticed a pump like sound from the back of the car when i turn the engine off. What could this be? Is it normal? I do not have air suspension Many thanks

Do u have adblue? Guessing bluetec is answer? If so is noise from tank area.

Yeah it has adblue. it is from the back, side where fuel cap is...

Can't say I recall hearing any pump like sound from rear adblu tank area, side of my motor.. Yet! But all that and tank was changed a Yr before I bought my motor, maybe that's the next drama for me to look forward too? Suggest if its still doing it u scan for any fault codes and go from there.

Can you get someone to cycle the engine and you listen to pinpoint the location of the noise.

If the car is working fine, then I wouldnt worry.

MB cars are complex and you cant go far without having the cars computers scanned for any possible faults.

If you are handy with car maintenance then its well worth investing in a diagnostics tool.
