Hello and welcome to the forum,, have you tried the dimmer knob in the dash the one that sets the trip,,turn it a few turns sharply to see if they come back on.

Failing this there should be a little red fuse on the rear of the cluster, but it has to be pulled out to get to it

Dear Friends, after some years out of Mercedes I recently bought an 190e, it’s 1985 2.3 16, between various things I was doing I dismounted the dashboard to put two T10 led lights to have more light...then something happened...no light at all...I replaced a blown fuse (in the main fuse box in engine compartment) I realized I burnt than I have put back the old style bulbs...to understand what happened but nothing happened.
Of course no light in the center consolle and various switches.
Can someone give any tips?
To note: potentiometer I saw has already a bypass so shouldn’t be any problem on this sometimes broken piece, but more important in my cluster there isn’t the famous red fuses, so I don’t know where to look. I checked each single fuse with the multimeter and are all fine.
warning light still work as well of the rest, only illumination is missing...
I thanks in advance for any indication.
:)
