Hi

Please excuse my ignorance here
I have a standard C180 W202 with 195 x 65 x 15 tyres on steels
I have been offered a set of 18" AMG rims for a song, I dont know the J number of the wheels but they have 225's on the front and 265's on the rear

My queries are will these fit with no rubbing and what width tyre can I get away with fitting as I suspect the 265 with is a tough fat for the W202

Also will it make the car horrible to drive?

Cheers in advance

18" wheels will give you a more bumpy ride drive and you cant use 265 on the rear.

If you look in the chart you will see the max is 255 x 35

The offset is vey important and must match those in the enclosed chart

Hi,
Check the fitment of the wheels for compatibility with a w202 as they were never available with 18" wheels the largest fitted from the factory were 17".
Also check the wheel widths as "most" AMG's had different sized front wheels to the rear.

I suspect it is 8j for the front and 9j for the rear
I think I will purchase them anyhow and if no good they will go up on the bay

They do look like they may fit according to Chris's guide;

Although as per above the 265 is too wide.

Are you 100% sure the rears are not 9" x 18. As the staggered setup using thos tyres was 8" front and 9" rear. Check first, as the rubbing will foul the paint on the inner arch.
