My son is buying his own car a very good one owner C180, yet another new convert to mercedes ownership. He really wanted a CL but this will do for now. Anyway he would like to change the ride height more in line with the Sport model, nothing to drastic. Has anyone done this and can you help please to point to which springs one would need, is it just a spring change or does anything else need to be changed.

Thanks in advance

New lowering springs are available from Euro car parts at a reasonable price. the spring cups (where the springs sit) are a good idea to replace them too if the car is old ish.

Fitting them yourself will be a struggle unless hou have the special tool for the front springs. The rears are straight forward.

The ride will become firmer and tyre wear will increase and don't forget to get a full geometry done after the lowering.
