Hi Every One, I am new to forum and need help.
My car has 158K, engine is very smooth and quiet, it runs beautifully. I mostly drive in the town with very slow speed. I was told by the MOT man to drive this car on the motorway for some time at higher speed to clear off the accumulated carbon.

Please let any body tell me, what may be the real reason(s). I had full service at 152K. Is the injectors needs cleaning or what else. Thanks

Yes the MOT man is right for the reasons stated. You may see a waft of black smoke too as this built up carbon/crud will be expelled. Ideally once the car is warmed up you should do a full kickdown down the mway slip upto as fast as comfortable (70mph for the record, off it....)

No need to risk your licence , just hold it in the lower gears and run it up to the rev limiter for a couple of miles.
