Hi,
Can anybody tell me how many brake pad warning wires there are on a W202 4Dr Saloon?
Is it one per caliper therefore 4 in total, or is it one on the front then one on the digonal rear.
I ask this as i was replaceing my rear discs and pads week end and there was no sensor wire at all at either rear calipers and no apparent loom socket to plug it into.
Help anyone?:-(
Andy.

There are no sensors on the rear, but you have one wire in each front pad.

Hi, Malcolm thanks for the reply,
Not that i,m doubting your knowledge but how sure are you of the fact there is none on the rear as the pads i used have a recess and a small hole for the sensor to sit.

I am pretty sure with my answer, I can double check later in the week. If there are holes for wires in the rear pads these would only be for cars that are wired for all 4 wheels, I have not come acoross any yet. I will look later for your car.

Did my rear brakes a couple of months ago and there are definitely no wear sensors or wiring for them on my car. On the front brakes ,the wear sensor fits on the outer pad .

Cars like the SL's do have double wires at the front, this was so on my 129 and the 230.
