I have a tiny air stream on the drivers side airvent when the fan speed is set on zero :) I've heard this on a couple of w202 c classes and never investigated as to what it was, has anyone experienced this and know what it is?

Sounds more like headlight height adjuster. Move the dial & see if the noise changes note, if so, look for a broken violet hose, probably around the headlights if the car has had any accidents.

Thanks type49 the headlight adjuster did effect the pitch of the noise and the violet hose had broken in the washer bottle area. Appreciate the advice thanks.

No problem. You can fix the cut/split with a piece of rubber vacuum pipe.
