W202 Climatronic diagnostics

Hi, I've been looking through the old threads for some advice on getting the diagnostic codes from the Climatronic air con control in our C43.

I found this link http://www.continentalimports.com/ser_ic40142.html which gives the routines for pressing buttons on the dual-zone models, but ours is only a single-zone unit (one set of temperature controls) so the instructions don't quite match our buttons.

Does anyone know where I can get the right routines?

Hi Graybe.
I'm fairly sure the 'live data' is accesible from the control panel on dual zone versions only, We have lists of all that are accesible and they are all dual zone.
Do you have a problem with yours?
If anybody wants details for dual zone versions PM me, there are too many to list.

Hi, yes we have a problem (Houston!). The car hadn't been used for a couple of weeks, but when my other half went to Sandwich in it last week the aircon was not chilling at all, and still isn't.

When we bought the car, just over three years ago, the compressor was u/s so we had it replaced - at horrendous cost. When the system was completely gas-less, the EC light was permanently on. That hasn't happened this time.

I'm going to take to a local aircon specialist, but I was hoping to get some clues before hand....

Do you happen to know the possible cause of my problem Bob.R? My aircon on S320cdi Dec2005 needs to be set to 18 in order to get 21/22 in the cabin. Merc dealer says has never met this before. Perplexed! Grateful for any help or guidance you can give.
