W202 Electric Door Mirrors - Help

The near side door mirror has ceased to work on the up and door movement, the left to right movement is fine. Grateful for advice as to the likely problem and possible solution or is it something I should leave to an auto electrican? I've found advice on lubicating wipers really helpful, I was hoping something like it exists to help with my mirror problem.

Try pushing the glass in or out at the top and bottom ,sometimes the gearwheel disengages

Hi,
My c230k N/S mirror does,nt work up or down either i,ve always excepted if i wanted it working i would have to replace it.
Take mirror glass out and expose the mechanism this will be where the fault is, I very much doubt it will be anywhere else in the circuit.
Personnally think it will be the mechanical link that connects the mirror adjuster motor to the mirror pivot
