w202 rear windows

hi guys
my w202 rear windows are playing up.
i can operate them no problems with the center console switches,but the 2 switches in the back doors dont work, i have had this problem once before and rectified it by waggling the connectors in the 3 boxes under the passenger foot well and using contact cleaner,unfortunately this doesnt work this time,and i cant remember which relay under the footwell does what (old age again!)
as the problem affects both rears ive logically narrowed it down to a relay/wiring fault..but does anybody know where please?
coud it be the small window switch on the center console..
any clues will be VERY welcome as its driving me daft!

The most obvious candidate is the kiddy-proof switch, I'd try bypassing it as a test.

Good thinking Mondeo!
The child isolator switch on the centre console, have you checked its set to correctly? Also, a good indication is that with this switched off, the rear window switches don't light up at night. Not sure how the switch works, I presume that it simply cuts the power to the switches.

i've just had a look at that switch and no matter what position it is in the 2 rear switches dont light up so i'll have a good look to-morrow..i'll let you know later
