W202 Rust

Hi folks hoping you can help. I have a 1998 W202 C200 sport which is starting to develop some funny brown spots which i dont think are meant to be there.

I read in another thread that you can approach MBUK for a discussion about such problems with respect to getting the brown spots removed.

Could anyone tell me about any details and any good dealers in the Warrington area.

i think your car is too old for the rust issues, 8 years or so is the cut off point, however, that said, if you've owned the car for longer than 6 months then pop down to your local friendly mercedes benz dealer and ask them for their thoughts,

I believe the cut of date is late October 1998, if yours is before this date it has,nt got the 30 year rust warranty.

I thought the cut off date was 98 but was hoping it was at the beginning will check the date of my car to see when it was first registered.

Interesting that they do not all show any rust,, there are some fine examples down here where I live

Its only started to go on the inside of ther front wings and two small patches on the driver door, and they are just small "bubbles"

Other wise nothing, i think the rest of the car is made from granite, well it feels like that. Its the family car so the wife has most of the time but when i do get to have a go i remember why i wanted this one so much.
