Hi All

I have a C180K '03 (W203) 4 door Auto. The other night the alarm went off for no obvious reason. Next day, my wife reported that the Bonnet Open alarm showed intermittently on the dashboard (Red Display).

I've had a good look round and the only switch I can see is on the offside bonnet catch. It is a microswitch underneath the catch. It's operation seems to be OK. I gave the switch a bit of a tweak so that it might operate a little more consistently.

Last night we went for a run and the Bonnet Open alarm was still coming up intermittently. I'd be grateful for any ideas. Is there another switch I haven't found yet ?

Thanks in advance.

Jim

Hi Jim, I think that SAM said that the switch was part of the hinge
