Hi guys

Get this code first thing on startup without any driving therefore ESP disabled- just had someone local scan this and have said its the brake pressure sensor - full exact code I forgot now but will get the printout tomorrow.

I'm assuming its not the brake pedal/light switch as my brake lights all function correctly.

So is this esp pressure sensor an easy fix and how much roughly am i looking at in cost pls? Just so I have some grounding info for Indy.

Cheers

Small pressure switch screws into the master cylinder. Five minutes to change, and a common fault on the 203/209

Thank you so much for reply - few more questions:Oops:
1. Is this a dealer only part or can I get it from euro car parts
2. Will I need to bleed the braking system at all?

Cheers

No bleeding involved. Do not know if ecp sell them.
It's pretty cheap from the dealer!!!

Sounds good to me -will pick up car and get a copy of codes just to make sure then give this a try, I was just worried if I unscrew the sensor it won't splat brake fluid everywhere

Thanks at least it's seems a straightforward job :)

Here is the code from workshop

C1141 - pressure sensor - incorrect signal

I just had a look at master cylinder and can see 2 sensors one underneath (seems really difficult to get access too) and one coming out the left side if your looking from front of engine - which one would it be

Thanks
A

Sorry to butt in but is the ESP warning before start up on a 203 sorted by doing a lock to lock with the steering once started? Sure I've had to do it a couple of times on the wifes 203.

Apologies if wrong :)

If the battery has been disconnected, then the ESP lamp will be on until the car is driven or the steering wheel turned lock to lock while parked, it applies to all cars with ESP

Tried the steering lock principle first thing - but to no avail :(
going to try and get hold of a pressure sensor now, everywhere seems to be of stock, might try breakers yard next :)

I didnt have codes, but after I had esp warnings, it was fixed eventually by replacing the clock-spring.
Pig of a job to replace with the correct one.
Then a clear of fault codes and been fine since - touch wood
