My CDI is now causing me rapid grey hair growth......
At idle, I have a slight Diesel 'clap' as you would expect in any Diesel. However when I start to drive that 'Clap' gets loud but only until 2000RPM and only happens from I feel in 1st, 2nd and 3rd gear. and from what I would class at BOOST
The funny thing is that i cannot hear this if i stand outside the car and get someone to rev, HOWEVER clearly audible when inside.
So to date this what I have done,
I have changed ALL the injectors -STILL THE SAME
The water pump and Idler pulleys where shot, replaced these - STILL THE SAME
I have had the Torque Converter Checked ALL OK - STILL THE SAME
Checked the Steering gaiter into the Firewall - STILL THE SAME
She has 113,000 Miles.
Any pointers now would really help me - BTW - no fault codes and all measurements are OK - Rail Pressure, Injectors etc.....
