As the heading says, 53 plate, auto, 110k on the clock, always serviced.

In the last 2 months I've noitced a loss of power, when over taking it gets to around 70 ish it won't go past that and its stays in the same gear whilst in drive, won't go down, and won't kick up. Strangley enough it has the power to drive just not very fast and will move from a stop, again in just one gear what ever it is. You can get to 70ish and won't go past it.

Switch engine off and start again and she's fine, no engine warning light of anykind, nothing on dash at all.

Any ideas?

MAF, but really should get the codes for sure. May be 1000 other reasons too.

Surely if MAF then these issues would happen more often?

The maf is always the first suspect, but getting the codes read is important
