W203 First "small service"

Have just had my 2007 C Class serviced at local dealer and was astonished at the price. £310 including vat. This is my first MB and after owning BMW and Honda previously I am surprised at the excessive cost. It is a company car and I am not paying however I am a Director of the company and find it hard to justify among colleagues. Does anyone agree or am I being unreasonable?

I find it astonishing that people will buy cars are not check the servicing costs! I checked the the complete service schedule for mine (A, B, brake fluid etc). I also got a maint contract quote and at £135/mth for 30K miles per year it made me thing seriously about whether I should buy the car.

However your price does seem a bit OTT - A service is usually a pretty consistant £250 or so. Oil will have been more or less £100 of the cost. Your next service will probably be over £500.

Mercedes do ServicePlus now - you might get a quote for that and see if it seems reasonable.

it does depend greatly on what the mileage is and what was done. Yes it sounds high, but not by that much. I'd suspect that more than the service was done, as a basic oil change service is normally around £240. Still heavy but not as silly as what you were charged.
Most dealers now offer discounts too, so always worth asking.
