Afternoon all, I have the dreaded battery drain on my 220 CDi and after speaking to Alex earlier this damn booster seems the likely culprit! After searching the forum it seems there is no fuse/relay to control or isolate this thing but on going through my dash board settings i had the booster set to "auto", now set it to "off". I have a feeling it is not that easy to stop it draining my battery but can anyone advise if the only way is to literally take the feed off it?

I recall one case mentioned it has helped. Otherwise you have to disconnect feed wire. Difficult, yes.

Ok, an update on this. Car has been left with Alex Crow and he found the problem (naturally). It's the instrument binnacle at fault and not allowing the car to go to "sleep". Binnacle has been sent away for diagnosis and hopefully repair but if knackered I will have to source a 2nd hand one.

Ok, update time! My Binnacle was re-cycle only but the company Alex uses had another one which was loaded with all the data from my scrap one and coded to the car and all is now well! Hope this is useful to anyone with a battery drain on a W203 as an alternative to the coolant heater booster fault. The original binnacle was keeping the interior CAN bus awake even when the car was locked so draining it overnight. Top marks again to Alex for finding it!
