W203 seat belt light

Hi Guys

Anybody help with intermittent fault with drivers side seat belt warning light.

Only comes on intermittently and only just started happening in the last 2 days,if I unhook the belt a few times it cancels it out but then sometimes comes on again after a few minuets.

No codes coming up with star and sometimes it will go for days and never happens.

Car is a 2005 220cdi advantgarde auto.

I have the Haynes manual and a bit concerned it seems to be linked up to the airbags and warns not to mess with it unless you know what you are doing,but wondering why no codes are coming on Star.

Will be a sticky switch inside the belt catch (bit with the red push to release)
They actually get full of dust, fluff and other nasties.

If it cannot be cleaned out then you must get to the switch and spray some switch cleaner in it

Not such a big problem as I thought then,only had the car 5 weeks and very pleased with it really nice drive and amazing fuel economy.

This part of the car does not upset the SRS system as its switched, if the car came from a dealer get them to fix it, nice cars

As you say nice cars and this is my 5th Mercedes and I can honestly this is the best one,get lots of comments on the lines and the colour and it is really comfortable on a long drive.
