Hi this is my first post on here and hope someone can help me. I have a 2003 C220 CDi W203 pre facelift model.
Last week some $@&# hit my near side wing mirror off and smashed the casing and mirror. i managed to pick up a complete replacement on ebay :D.
I've managed to get the damaged wing mirror off and am left with the wiring loom and rubber seal left. The replacement I've picked up also has a the wiring loom included. how do I get at the exisitng wing mirror loom in the door panel or would I be better off attempting to take the loom out of the replacement and threading the old one in? if so how do I do this?

Many Thanks for any help

Leon

If you slide the cover off, you should be able to disconnect it, but if you want to change the whole thing I can send you the details of how to

No Problem Malcolm, I slowly took it apart, slowly frightened myself, seeing how many bits I had it in, walked away for ten minutes or so, went back to the table, took a deep breath and put it all back together with 3 new pieces of wiring attached, and Hey Presto, it all works perfectly, even the mirror adjust which was also not working along with the indicator,

Thanks,

Terry.

I need to repair the mirror assembly

The indicator LED on the drivers side is not working with the mirror extended. Works fine when it is folded (not much use)

Seems I have a wiring problem. So I need to remove the mirror so I can repair the offending wire - I would appreciate instructions on how to remove the mirror assembly please. I have taken the cover off - now for the hard part!.

regards

W203 C200 cdi/2003
Hi I have recently purchased a 2003 w203 c200 cdi and it has a broken mirror. I found a second hand mirror unit and am trying to see if I can get the steps to replace the entire unit.

Also the replacement unit I have how can we take the housing out, as it's easy to pull the mirror in the car and move the notch but on a full unit the spring is very tense and it's very hard to open the housing, is there some technique to do this

Thanks in advance

Very hard to get the cover of when the mirror is not mounted on the car.

On a 203 the door liner panel has to come off to get to the plug.
