I have a 2009 W204 220 CDI with approx 96k on the clock. This may seem like a minor niggle but when turn the key the car initially stutters before catching then idling normally.
Can anyone advise if this is normal enough as I've not experienced it with any cars since mid-80's Fords?

Could be many things to be fair, perhaps a leaking injector thats not closing.

Cheers Mioba.
Would that manifest itself in any other ways as the only issue (minor as it is) is the annoying little initial stutter?

Maybe it is only firing on three cylinders when it starts first?
After a short while the fourth cylinder would fire and the car would sound normal.
That would only happen when the engine was cold.

That might point to a glow plug failing, although if that was the case the glow plug light on the dashboard would stay on (AFAIK).

Yes the GP light would come back on and stay on if a failed GP.

Need to get the car to an indy, guessing and assumptions can get expensive.
