Evening

My merc 204 when i drop the bonnet it only latches on the drivers side and when pulling the red lever its only moving a small amount enough to pop the bonnet

Theres a small bit of pvc missing (outer sleeve) and a small bit of rust where the outer sleeve ends on passenger side

Any ideas and is it an easy fix?

I polished the car this evening and paint all nice and smooth

Clean and lubricate, get as much into the cable sheath as possible and work it back and forth until it frees up.

Ill have a go later, believe the connector block in the engine bay, split that open and take the suspect cable out and lubricate and refit.

On the cleaning of the car i used colormagic id had the bottle for about 15 years and forgot how good the stuff is. Ive 3M perfectit range and collinite waxes but the colormagic makes the car look new
