2013 W204 C220 CDI
Good afternoon all,

I've just bought my second merc, a 2013 W204 C220 CDI estate, 55k on the clock. Been driving for the last 2 weeks without any problems but driving to work 2 days ago the car felt very low on power, wouldn't rev above 2.5k, would not respond E/S shift on the gearbox and will not kick down (apparently this is the limp mode......). The following journey home, sure enough the EML light came on.

Ran a diagnostic through a generic OBD scanner and two fault codes were visible: P023714 (The boost pressure sensor has a short circuit to ground / There is an open circuit) and P0237 (Turbocharger / Supercharger boost sensor A low). I cleared these faults, EML went off and stayed off for a journey but still seemingly in limp mode. Re-read codes after second run and now showing P2279 (Intake Air system leak), along with the EML back on.

I can't hear any air leak in the engine bay. I've tried to monitor the boost pressure on the data stream but cant find a parameter relating to the boost pressure. There is a parameter that cannot be found under address 00,00,6D,09, if that means anything :S

I've monitored the intake manifold absolute pressure A, and it remains constant a 6kPa.

Can anyone shed any light on the possible cause? Is it as simple as replacing the MAP sensor and going from there, or more serious?

Many thanks for all your help!

Plug into the Star Diagnosis - high possibility that the sensor is faulty or loose electrical connection I wouldn't that much :D Plug it in to the SD and then we will see.

You ideally need an MB independent with Star diagnostics . Where do you live buddy

I can think of 4 or 5 spread around London , can you narrow down your location ?

the car does have a electronic boost actuator,
i did have the codes read before changing sensors but local garages lack mercedes benz specialist knowledge, it comes up woth a turbo boost sensor fault, but this sensor has been replaced with a new one.

North London?

Just says that the potentially the value is incorrect. It needs diagnostic on star diag.

Some cars give odd live values with a stored code.

What codes do you currently have?

Also, you may be monitoring the air filter map sensor.
