Hi there....not sure if I'm posting on the right forum, but I can't post on the technical one.
Does any one know how to remove the LED indicator lens on the wing mirror. I've already removed the housing.........I can see about 2 or 3 clips on inside of housing, but even after unhinging these, the lens seems to be "glued" or "stuck on" with strong tape to the housing.
I don't want to damage the housing by pulling on it too hard. Can anyone advise if it's possible ? I need to repair/repaint the housing, so thought it would be a cleaner job if the lens were removed first.

Any help greatly appreciated. (Library) picture of mirror attached.

It looks as though it is all one lump and does not come out, nothing in WIS at all

Okay, but I'm sure they are separate......there's plenty on ebay, selling just the housing without the led's. For example:

They are only sold by Mercedes with the turn signal lamp installed

Why not speak with your dealer? They will give the definitive answer. Give your VIN and they will know what's available

The chances are it is double sided tape, and a heat gun could free them off

Short video on how I replaced the LED indicator in one of my mirror housings, I had a look around Youtube and could not find a video showing how to do this so I made one. :)

Dealer wanted £140 plus fitting, second hand housings with LED £80 on ebay and I purchased only the LED bit from ebay for £20 delivered and fitted myself.
