W204 weird sound, Dashboard flashing and passenger airbag flashing

Hey guys ,

Just started the car today after driving 5 minutes this weird noise started to come and the passenger airbag light started flashing with the dashboard also flickering.

I’ve attached videos hopefully you could help thanks so much I’m advanced .

Just had AA out and they said …. “ Metallic sound, turbo, or flywheel needs further investigation “ got towed to an garage so will see tomorrow

Hello. Sorry to hear you've issues.

Not sure turbo issues would cause the electrical gremlins!

Car does need to go to a decent MB specialist - what area are you in? There are some very good independent specialists on here, hopefully you can get the car recovered to one of them for diagnostics!

Edit: Just had a re-read... wondering if metallic noise is alternator eating itself and resultant voltage issue is causing your dash & airbag lights??? (Or you've got two separate issues!)

Hi just an update . It was the starter motor . I thankfully got it replaced under AA parts and garage cover and it resolved the issue . Thanks
