In the past week, I have noticed that when I am driving and lift off the accelerator so the car glides/coasts, the eco display (the screen that shows the green circle split into 3 segments) on the cluster shows it is in coasting and cruising at the same time. Previously it would only light up green in one segment at a time and when I came off the accelerator, it would only show in coasting segment.

I have started to feel very little increase in resistance when coasting from the 'free moving' wheels and my mpg has gone down by a couple of miles. Would it be a slightly sticky caliper causing this or something else in your expert knowledge.

Thanks in advance

This could be a tyre pressure problem. If the tyres are lower in pressure than normal, then there will be an increase in rolling resistance. I would suggest checking the tyre pressures, increase them if needed and see if that makes a difference. A separate thought, have you changed the tyres recently? different tyres with different grip levels to normal may be part of the resistance that you are feeling.

Thanks for response, I have not changed my tyres and the pressure is as per the guide on the fuel flap, which I regularly check.
