W207 intermitantly not starting

Hi, I am new to this forum, so if I get something wrong please excuse until I get used to it.
I am having alot of issues with a w207 3.2 which will very intermitantly not start, it seems to be worse in warmer weather.

1. The codes are only generated after a non start situation.
2. Car can start perfectly for 4 or 5 weeks and then start playing up
3. Once started the car Runs fine with no problems.
4. when ignition turned on the instument display does not show a selected gear (i.e P for park) the car will not start.
5. sometimes the gear selected does show (i.e P car is in park) however car will not start and cooling fans run at high speed.
6. Then next time key turned instruments can indicate P no cooling fans running and car will start normally.

What code reader do you have?
The one that sticks out is gearbox control unit communication intermittent, i wonder whats happening there
Do you have a good Mercedes indy you can get it on Star- not sure where you're based

Thanks for reply, Have got a CMT advanced, with laptop based software. Dont know of any local indy mercedes workshops. Based in Telford Shropshire.
I was thinking of a front sam fault or engine ECU, if you clear all the codes all stays fine untill a no start situation and then all codes return at the same time, this sounds like a power not getting somewhere issue or a relay not energizing, which then cases faults to be registered in many systems.

It does need Star, the generic non specific Mercedes ones don't work so well...
