W208 Convertible fault codes

Hi Everyone

I have just had my car fault code read......... the soft-top wasnt operating
so it was put on a machine, we have found the ECU and Pump to be OK but
the system reads a 'Limit switch Fault', but it doesnt say which switch is faulty !!
The guy at the garage found this very strange because he expected the machine to tell him which Limit switch was at fault.
Im hoping someone out there has had somthing similar to this and knows which switch it is or at least point me in the right direction. On the up side at least the ECU and PUMP are ok.

If it was a star machine then Im sure he could have identified the switch..

The only clue is how far the roof is getting before it stops.ive had a few lately not working at all this has been down to the lower roll bar switch,this can be tested by bridging out the wiring at the connector.Its behind the rear seat on the OS.

Thanks for your response.......... The roof only goes as far as me releasing the catch on the inside and the windows drop completely, thats it !!.
The only thing that was described by the machine was 'Limit Switch Fault'
