W209 drivers door rattling problem

Hi Forum,

i suspect something is lose in the drivers door causing it rattle when i close the door

it is now becoming more and more unbearable. does anyone have any advise or how to guide on tackling this problem? please help!!!

You should have it and you can edit out the address

look at the bottom face of the door, you will find several rubber grommets. pop them out and make sure the bolts above them are all tight - take care though because some are threaded adjusters and these must not be turned! there are 2x 10mm headed bolts that can come loose on these cars for some reason.

thanks guys, I only found a 10mm headed bolt which did not seem to fit the only place where a bolt was missing from. However, I got hold of a 12mm headed bolt which was a perfect fit and the rattling noise is no more

i don't know whether or not to further investigate where the 10mm bolt goes
