I have a single CD player in my e320cdi.

Can a Command / navigation unit be fitted, and how much effort and rewiring is required?

Yes it can be fitted and plenty on Ebay,, re the wiring have a word with Alfie at "Comand on line"

Yes it can be done fairly easily.

However, you need to budget for a new fascia trim which will be around £160 plus a mounting bracket ~ £20. Then the comand unit with a teleatlas disk, GPS antenna and a wiring loom adapter.
