W210 cross member rusted through

Does anyone know what cost this will be approx to have replaced or welded?
it is a 97 R Plate 320

Impossible to say 'from a distance'. You'd have to take it to a professional welder to have a look and quote. Obviously it will depend on how bad it is, whether it is easily accessible or whether any dismantling will require to be done etc.
If anyone has had a full replacement then they will be able to tell you, but won't be cheap as I believe it has to be set up on a 'jig'.

we did one to-day and charged £100 +vat. 2.5hrs the bottom of the box section was completely gone, that was welding it of course not replacing it

I have to take it in to mercedes whom said they may well cover the cost they said as long as i have full mbsh

be nice if they do like. If not will have to get it welded as i aint replacing it with a new one myself
