Yes changing to 17" will improve the ride as the sidewall profile would be higher,,the 18" wheels will sell well as folk buy them to make the car look better
Yep amg monoblock 18, later avantgardes come with 17" wheels they actually look quite nice, very rare seeing them for sale.
Crap pic taken from e bay but look really good on the car.
Ive got some 18" Brabus wheels on. It does look good even though the wheels need a refurb but I care more about how it drives as I have a 35 mile daily commute, much of it on mostly wet b roads.
On a 210 you will notice a difference, i remember wifes last e320 on 16 was as smooth as silk much smoother than my current 210, her current 203 on 17 is as even harder a ride than my car but i thinks thats because the 203 is poo!
I have 18" on my CLK with 40 profile tyres..... I think the comfort was never compromised.... Only now after a drop in height and reduction of rubber spring caps I feel the comfort level dropped but It was my choise to go for look that comfort. I am happy with it still as its not at all bouncy as usuall cars with low profile tyres are and it runs very smooth over speed bumps as well so very very impressed over all. If you wish to go for comfort than look, you could go for 17" and you would be happy for sure
