W210 E230 - Is auto 5 speed opt. fitted?

I have just acquired a W210 1997 E230 with automatic transmission and cruise control. The option codes on the slip attached near the rear of the service book show one for code "423" which I believe is 5 speed automatic but there is no reference to "5" on the gear selector but the car can be switched between "4" or "D". Could someone confirm that this car probably has 5 speed auto.
P.S.Anyone know of any good Mercedes mechanics near Tunbridge Wells, Kent...........drivers window slips forward when going up and gets stuck!

Yes its a 5 speed.

In fourth '4' it will only use 1,2,3 & 4
in 'd' it uses all 5 gears.

Some drivers like to slip into 4 just prior overtaking, and then when they accelerate, it will go to third quicker

take off the door covering and tighten the clamps to the window...
