Hello all,
I noticed some time ago that my W210 estate had no cover below the engine/crossmember. I think I posted here, regarding the problems encountered if it was missing IE corrosion.
The car was recently in the local garage for a noise from the front suspension, which turned out to be a lower ball joint (surprise, surprise).
Anyway when it was in I asked them to price me up the undertray, and they quoted me 60 quid and they could order it.
So today I phoned to book in for the ball joint to be fitted, and asked if the cover was in yet. They said they had re checked with Mercedes, quoting the VIN and that the cover was not applicable to my model.
It's a 2002 W210 Kompressor Estate, does anyone know if this is correct?
The crossmember is still in really good nick, and I recently waxed it all so hopefully it won't rot any time soon. I just thought it was strange, cos all the fittings are present on the subframe.
Regards,
Col
