Hello again chaps.

Can someone tell me where the HID headlamp leveller(s) is/are (is there only 1?) and provide a picture or drawing of them or a link to one please so I know what to look for?

My lamps slowly stopped moving so I think it/they have rusted.

Or is there another possible cause?

Thanks.

There is a level actuator on each of the front and rear offside axles...a box with a lever connection.

Thanks guys. I'll report back when I get a chance to check them.

I've not been here much 'cos the old girl has been very good since I last posted about her not starting on cold mornings and we changed the 6 fuel line O ring seals.

Hope she keeps it up through this winter, I hear it's going to be a colder one with lots of snow.

I think the sensors are on the near side, the pictures show that.

They were on the driver's side on my 202 and the 210 & 208 as I robbed parts off of a couple scrappers when I did my retro fit.

Great, thanks.

One more question: is the levelling designed to lower the beams when the suspension is depressed, for example when carrying a heavy load, or will they lower when the road is uphill, or for example if I put the front up on ramps?

I ask this because I thought they used to adjust when the road inclined, but they don't seem to do that now.

Yes, they are designed so that the lamps stay level, irrespective of the load in the car.

If you put a heavy load in...your self levelling suspension will level the car...it's overkill.

But not when the front of the car is raised on ramps for instance?

I'm not sure if mine has the self levelling suspension, does it?

I remember it's got hydraulic spheres because one was replaced before I bought it, is that part of the self levelling suspension?

Yes, you have a sensor front and rear, it the lamps should remain level
