Hello chaps.

I finally replaced my pollen filters.

They were in a very bad state and my heater/cabin blower now runs at full speed instead of half-speed like before.

So it seems that there is some sensing to prevent the fan from running at full blast when the airflow is low, to prevent it from overheating.

There were a couple of gotchas so I wrote a photo guide to help others who haven't done it before as I couldn't find one. It's very quick and easy to do once you know how.

Here it is, please download it to your PC as soon as possible because it's too big to upload here, and my kind host may not continue to offer this facility:

I just replaced the pollen filter up above the passenger footwell yesterday, and to be honest i was stunned at how much more powerful the fan heater blower is now,i.ve gained at least half the speed again if not more,if you haven"t done this do it right now if you feel your fan is under performing.
Just unscrew black panel above passengers feet, slide back the two yellowy white clips, long black rectangular section drops off keeping filter in place, pull old filter down and out, shove up new filter, replace retaining plate and clips and black trim section and you're done!

As Rumpelstiltskin says, my next task is those filters he replaced too, they are the "charcoal filters".
