W210 V8 Servicing

Looking at fully servicing my 1996 W210 V8 420 myself. I have already got a stash of 5w/40 fullky synthetic oil and have been looking at my usual supplier (Euro CP) who do not seem to stock any genuine Merc filters whatsoever (they have always stocked Genuine Saab and BMW stuff). My question is what pattern brand do I buy (Hengst, Eurofil and Guttman), or do I go to Mercedes Benz main stealer and pay their "prices"? :roll:

Best getting filters from MB, fuel filters can be shocking price wise as are spark plugs. Other filters seem resonable.

Get a price from them.

Try these guys, genuine MB outlet with discount. If you don't know the part No. give them a ring. I have used them over the last year and the online service has been excellent.

Just got the oil filter for only £9.09 including sump plug washer from Mercedes Main Stealer. Thats very competitive.....they were £8.56 from EuroCP.

I do think that in all fairness the MB price should be checked before going elsewhere, and you do know that you have the correct part

Ive done my checking around and to be honest MB are pretty much there as anywhere else on genuine parts. You can but none MB at a little less but if theres postage to pay then you may still be out of pocket on MB's prices.
And dont forget to tell them your in the trade !!! you might get 10% off
