Cheaper Delphi, I can scanning MB E320 65 plate whit it. Something is wrong but is a bit cold outside to check the pins on an ECU . :)

How high did the water come up ?
Did it come up to the top of the seats ?
Are the seats leather ?
What year is the car ?

My investigation working for the moment, I`ll still keep it you in touch till the end.
After headlight switch removed the hazard light control panel does not illuminate randomly and my 45AH battery still in good condition and I am able to start the car. That is meant new headlight switch.
Next step it is to find out why I am not able to scan the car and why the engine coolant fan is always on(it my be defective control module on a fan I think).
Thank you.

I have no idea how deep it was. I just get that car for scrap money. Previous owner did`t told me.
It is 04. The seats are not leather.
On the dash i got only engine management light for the moment. SRS disappear it self.
Strange???

When you removed the switch, was it wet ?
No...the switch was dry
When i took seats, cluster, all modules from the car I let it a heater inside for few days. Everything was fully dried.

Also, is the air filter dry.

Wow ???? Silly me. I have been concentrate to solve a lot of other problems and i complete forgot to check the air filter. Thank you mate. You got a lager from me , i u are near me. ;)
And no water on headlights, fog lights and taillights . No water anywhere.
Silly engine light on and you know limp mode, no access to scanning the vehicle(just one option which is not enough).
BTW when I took it for a test drive does not show me on which gear I am. On my C class showed me.
I think I have to book it for a diagnostic on nearby independent workshop.

Before you take it to the workshop, try to dry with a fan heater, the inside of the car and any electrical connectors you can see in the engine lower down. Also blow dry the relay boxes, fuse boxes.

It is already done, it took me about a week or may be more , but now i clearly can see the difference between my car and others( for a moisture) my one is a bit drier ;)
The think is I no want to spend a money for a new ECU, Because I am not working for the moment and I tray to sort it out by my own.
Thanks.

Well done.
Just unplug and clean the pins, both ends. Then try.

Thank you very much for the photo,
Use a switch cleaner spray on the brown bits, DONT use a wire brush, just let it dry.
Use the same switch cleaner on the pins of the plugs
Use the same on the inside of the connectors
Allow to dry completely
Try this gateway first before you try the one you are buying
