W211 Alternator charging recall

Mercedes in 2005 apparently recalled 1.3 million E Classes with V6 engines for a problem with the aternator charging the battery.

Has any member knowledge of this recall or had problems with the charging system on vehicle registered between 2001 - 5?

Yes there are many logged faults for the alternator and the voltage control ECU

Thanks for your reply. I am currently in dispute with Mercs over this it would seem that they are trying to brush it under the carpet. I would be grateful for any information you have
