I read somewhere that if you have Audio 20 CD and wish to upgrade to the new comand with hard disk that its a straight swap with no additional cables needed?

Alfie will confirm, but I had this conversation with him and I think there are a lot of hidden extras required such as Audio Gateway, loom, antenae, nav disc+ extras if you want them such as Ipod dock and Linguitronic.
It is something I will get done but it will not be cheap.

as far as im aware,it is very hard to swap any audio/satnav unit for the new hard disc one,without great expense.i enquired over my 211 with comand at my dealer ( he's a mate ) he says its "the wireing ",but i also proved him wrong by fitting my own comand system,so take it with a pince of salt
