Hi folks
My S211 E class (2008) has developed a small tear on the drivers' seat bolster, on the base. I've got the Avantgarde version so it is half fabric, with Artico on the bolsters.
The Artico has a crack on the door side - about 7mm long and parallel to the door. I assume this bit gets a lot of wear where you get in and out. I saw this a few years ago on another second-hand W211 and assumed that it had just been hacked about, but mine is coming up to 6 years old and the same fault has appeared.
I found one other post of this forum suggesting this is a known problem on the E class or other modern Mercs with artico

Have other folks seen this on their cars? I'm slightly disappointed if this is normal wear and tear.
Anybody got any suggestions on people who can repair this in the Southampton area? I'm going to keep the car for another few years and it's otherwise in good nick, so want to keep it nice.
