Chaps, Does anyone know how to reset the service message indicator on a W211 53 plate E-class? (E-Service due in 30 days).
I Scrolled through the options on my steering wheel menu button untill i got the service warning, then pressed Reset for 5 secs. The service menu appeared and i went to the 'Cancel Full Service' option. I went out, then went back in, and pressed the 'Full Service' option, and it reset to "9800 Miles to C-service".
Was this the right thing to do? I should have an E-service next, not a C-Service.
What to do?

You should of moved down to the option confirm full service, that would confirm that you have just had a service.

Pressing cancel full service is what you do if you have confirmed the full service by mistake and it resets it to the service before!!.

I dont think there is a way to cancel a mistaken cancel if you know what i mean. so you will have to live with it i am affraid.

If you are servicing the car yourself, it doesnt make the slights difference anyway as you know what you have done on the service and what you will do on the next, so a,b,c,d doesnt mean anything.
