W211 E55 AMG badge position

Hi All,

I am going to re-fit the AMG badge (de-badged)..on my W211 E55, does anyone have a position template they can send me?

How about googling some images and guesstimating ? I don't think the badge inspectors are due round your way for another 12 months or so.

IIRC the E55 goes on the left and the AMG on the right (as you look at it)

Looks better without IMO

I thought the badge came with the fixing template, when purchased from MB?

fixing template is about £30 from MB and totally useless, i used one previously.

If you want i can make one up out of paper lined up at the edge of the boot and mark the letter spacings out for you?

Are the letters pre spaced when you got them, if they are,just put some sticky tape over the face, then remove the back paper, I always tape a straight bar to the boot lid to rest the figures on

Hey TV, letters are spaced , but the overall position needs to be lined up also, this is what the template helps with.

Not sure if any info on WIS, I will take a look when I turn on, not many cars around where the measurements can be taken form unless a member can give them.

There is info on WIS but its just a sheet to tell you how to use the templates, and their pt. no.s Whitenemesis E-mailed it to me.
I,m sure that the early version of WIS actually had the measurement of the template that you then could make one, I,m still looking for one for mine.
As I have had my badges removed by the body shop I have lost the spacing between the 5's and the C of the C55 as well as the general position of all the boot badges.
Can anyone tell me if the AMG badge is a single piece on the boot lid on a C43, I did,nt think it was but a photo I have found seems to indicate it is..
