Hello Folks,

Have been cleaning the car today, and have just found that the rear o/s seatbelt looks like a dog has chewed it. It's probably OK safety wise, but will probably fail the MOT, and don't really want to take a chance.

So 2 questions..

1. Does anyone happen to have a spare in Black, and if not;

2. Can anyone tell me the part no as, try as I might, I can't find the part no on the russian site.

Many Thanks in advance

It is DEFFO a MOT fail ..........my pup chewed my rear belts in my old W202 C Class .........absolute bugger to get spares ......so I "Fitted" a "Seat Belt" pad over the damaged bit which was OK coz on one ever sat in the back....

Got me passed the MOT though !!!!!

Sorry to ask, but would one of you splendid chappies (Colin?) 'in the know' mind looking this up as I really need to get this sorted out asap...

A thousand thanks in advance.

The Rusky site tells me the p/no for the buckle but not the reel.

Its not something you should fit yourself as the the battery needs to be disconnected, the rear belts have pre tensioners (explosives) built in so time on star afterwards, just replaced one on a saloon W211.

Ring your local dealer give them the chassis number and they will supply the belt to fit, roughly £100.

Thanks Giles,

Was going to give it to the pro's to fit, but was looking to save a couple of £'s on the part itself.

For the record, I have just discovered the same problem with my W211 E-class estate. The middle seatbelt fastener is the culprit. Can only guess that it got damaged when the back seat was folded down. I've never known anything like this happen before. Maybe a design fault. Will start a new thread and post some pics.
