W211 tailgate rear light cluster access.

Hello,
Can you tell me how to gain access to the nearside light cluster (reversing light etc) on the tailgate of my E320 Estate W211?

Good question - theres no access on the saloon either. Not on the avantgarde anyway. All to do with the HID and LED bulbs meaning that you shouldn't need to access them. I imagine you have to pull the panneling back.

I believe you have to use a heat gun to soften the adhesive around the front of the light cluster. As stated, they have a life of approximately 30 years and therefore are not consumable items.
