Hi,I purchased a diamond grill for my E220 recently.Although I am happy with it I’d like to change the surround of it as I think there is too much silver goin on.Can anyone tell me is it possible to buy this part in the pic provided in black or even paint it the same colour as my car body (in my case black) as I want it to blend in and take away the silver look it gives. The second pic is my car but I am going for the 3rd pic look.Any help appreciate TY

I like my current grill.I have recently changed from standard to this but would love to get rid of the silver surround.Seems to be on all E220 facelifts.Think it would change the look of the car and might even go down the road of a black star too.Im looking into having that part powder coated.Has anyone ever had Anythin powder coated before and if so would you recommend it or go against it.Thanks

This is the best option, get the chrome at the bottom of the windows done at the same time

Turn it into an unofficial night pack I’d like that.
I got quoted €80 to have it powder coated black

Is there much in detaching the chrome at the windows to do this ?

interior door panels off, massive job, a good wrap will be done in situ

Exactly, that is why a good wrap can be done without removing anything
I see.might look into that then got a quote for wrap and powder Coatin and pc is double the price of wrapping
