Not a bad looking machine!
I notice that in some pics of the 212 it has a column mounted gearshift, yet in others it's conventional. Is this an option or something. I guess being electronic they can put it anywhere these days but I'm surprised they swap and change.

6 and 8 clyinder engines have it column mounted (i.e. 7g boxes) whereas 4 cylinder engined cars with 5 speed auto boxes have a transmission tunnel selector lever.
